Rule functions are suffixed seq if they scan a sequence of items; _opt if they may consume zero tokens; _seqopt if both are true. The "consume</em>" prefix indicates that a sequence of tokens is parsed for syntactic correctness and then thrown away. Simple one-token lookahead mechanism.
